Wooden Hookahs
Wooden hookahs made by hand in San Diego, California. Regal Hookah has been building wood hookahs since 2009: every stem is turned from hard maple, chosen for its hardness and tight, even grain, then dyed and finished by hand, so no two are exactly alike. Custom pieces are made from the exotic wood named in their title. The wood is sealed and treated against water and cracking and paired with anodized aluminum parts, so a Regal is built to be smoked every day, not just displayed.
Wood finishes
- Dyed maple: redwood, blackwood and brown wood are hard maple dyed in house, clear wood is natural maple, all finished in gloss or satin, like the King Redwood Gloss.
- Exotic woods: one-of-a-kind custom pieces in Macassar ebony, bocote, cocobolo, blood wood, spalted and ambrosia maple, maple burl and black palm.
- DW (layered wood): layers of dyed maple in bold colorways like Bumble Bee, Applejack and Black Velvet.
- Hand-burned wood: stems finished by hand with fire for a dark, textured grain.
Choose your size
Every design is built on a chess-piece silhouette: the King is our largest hookah, the Queen is the balanced all-rounder, the Mini Queen is compact for travel, the Bishop is tall and slim, the Prince is sleek and modern, the Joker is the wild card, and the Pawn is the short, compact option. One-off builds live in Regal Custom. Not sure which one to pick? Read Regal Hookah models explained or our story.
