Coals Three Kings 40mm Disk Quick Light

Self-lighting 40mm charcoal disks: light them with a lighter, no burner needed.

Three Kings Quick Light is a classic instant-light hookah charcoal. Each box holds 10 rolls of 10 tablets, 100 disks in total, each 40 mm (about 1.5 in) across. Hold a disk with tongs over a lighter flame and it starts to spark; within a minute or so the whole tablet is glowing. Handy for travel, the beach, a quick session or anywhere you don't have a stove or coal burner.

How to use

• Light the edge of a disk with a lighter (use tongs) until the sparks run across it.
• Let it burn until it is evenly covered in grey ash and stops sparking and smoking, so the lighting agent burns off before it touches your bowl.
• Place 1-2 disks on foil or a heat management device. The shallow cup on top holds the ash.
• Keep opened rolls closed and dry: quick-light charcoal picks up moisture.

Quick light or natural coconut?

Quick light is about speed and convenience. For long, clean-tasting sessions at home, natural coconut coals lit on a coal burner are the usual choice. See our hookah coals guide for sizes and lighting tips.
