Fumari is blonde-leaf shisha from San Diego: light, sweet and easy to smoke, which is why so many people in the US start with it. We carry 27 Fumari flavors in 100g packs, and the names don't help much when you're choosing. What does Ambrosia taste like? Is White Gummi Bear too sweet?
Here are the ten flavors we'd hand a friend first, what each one tastes like, and two mixes for each. Every flavor below is in stock in 100g packs. New to Fumari? Read how to smoke Fumari first: blonde leaf wants a loose pack and less heat than Tangiers.

1. White Gummi Bear (WGB)
Profile: Pineapple and citrus gummy candy.
If you know one Fumari flavor, it's probably this one. WGB tastes like the clear gummy bear from the bag: pineapple with a squeeze of citrus, sweet and a little tangy, never syrupy. It smokes well on its own and blends with almost any fruit.
Mix it: 50/50 with White Peach for peach candy, or 60/40 against Red Gummi Bear for a mixed bag of gummy bears.
2. Ambrosia
Profile: Smooth, sweet melon.
Named after the food of the Greek gods, Ambrosia is Fumari's take on sweet melon. It's mellow, gives thick smoke and doesn't get tiring over a long session. A good pick for a group when nobody can agree.
Mix it: 60/40 against Lemon Mint for a cool melon, or 50/50 with White Peach for melon and peach.
3. Mint Chocolate Chill
Profile: Mint chocolate chip ice cream.
Dessert flavors are where Fumari does best, and this is the proof. Smooth chocolate up front, cool mint on the exhale, like a scoop of mint chip. One of four flavors we also stock in a 1kg bag.
Mix it: 60/40 against Caramel Kiss for chocolate-caramel mint, or 50/50 with Banana Custard for a minty banana split.
4. Lemon Mint
Profile: Zesty lemon and icy mint.
A clean, cold classic. Lemon Mint is bright lemon zest with a strong mint chill, so it works as a palate reset between sweet bowls. It's also the easiest way to cool down any fruit flavor in the lineup.
Mix it: 40/60 with Ambrosia for a cool melon, or 50/50 with Guava for tropical fruit with a lift.
5. Spiced Chai
Profile: Vanilla chai latte.
Not every bowl has to be fruit. Spiced Chai is a creamy vanilla base with cinnamon, nutmeg and cardamom, warm and sweet like a chai latte. It's our go-to for cold nights.
Mix it: 60/40 against Caramel Kiss for a caramel chai, or 50/50 with Banana Custard for a banana chai.
6. Red Gummi Bear (RGB)
Profile: Cherry and raspberry gummy candy.
WGB's red sibling. RGB mixes wild cherry and raspberry into the taste of a red gummy bear: sweeter and deeper than the white one, with a berry tang at the end.
Mix it: 50/50 with White Gummi Bear for the full bag of gummy bears, or 60/40 against Sour Cherry for extra cherry.
7. Blueberry Muffin
Profile: Blueberries and warm bakery notes.
Ripe blueberry over a soft, buttery muffin base. It's sweet without tasting like candy, and the bakery note keeps it from going flat halfway through the bowl.
Mix it: 50/50 with Lemon Loaf for a lemon-blueberry loaf, or 60/40 against Caramel Kiss for a caramel blueberry pastry.
8. Watermelon Sugamint
Profile: Watermelon with a cool mint finish.
Juicy watermelon first, then a gentle mint finish. It's lighter than most of the dessert flavors, which makes it an easy all-day bowl in warm weather. Also comes in a 1kg bag.
Mix it: 60/40 against Limoncello for watermelon lemonade, or 50/50 with Razzberry Bliss for a berry-watermelon cooler.
9. Sour Cherry
Profile: Tart cherry with a sweet edge.
Plump cherries with a real sour bite. If most fruit shisha tastes too sweet to you, start here. It's also one of the best Fumari flavors for mixing because the tartness cuts through creamy and candy flavors.
Mix it: 60/40 against Sweet Mint for cherry with a cool finish, or 50/50 with Limoncello for cherry lemonade.
10. Apple Squared (Double Apple)
Profile: Crisp apple with anise.
Fumari's double apple, one of the oldest flavors in hookah. Sweet red apple with the light licorice note double apple is known for. Smoked straight it's classic lounge shisha; with mint it's even better.
Mix it: 70/30 with Enlighten Mint for the classic double apple with mint, or 60/40 against Caramel Kiss for a caramel apple.

- Blueberry N'ice: juicy blueberry with an icy finish.

How to mix Fumari
- Mix the tobacco by hand in a small dish before you pack it, so every puff tastes the same.
- Start at 50/50. If one flavor gets lost, move to 60/40 in its favor next time.
- Mint is strong. 20 to 30% of Enlighten Mint or Sweet Mint is enough to cool a bowl without turning it into a mint bowl.
- Every Fumari flavor page in our store lists two more mix ideas.
How to smoke Fumari so it tastes right
- Fluff, don't pack. Sprinkle the tobacco loosely into the bowl, just below the rim, without pressing it down. Fumari is juicy, and a tight pack chokes the airflow.
- Use less heat than you think. Blonde leaf burns faster than dark leaf. Start with two 25mm Titanium or King of Fire coconut coals and add a third only if the smoke is thin.
- Foil or a heat management device. Both work. A heat management device makes it easier to keep sweet flavors from burning.
- Light the coals all the way. Use a Fumari charcoal burner until every side glows orange. Our hookah coals guide has the full steps.
Fumari vs Tangiers
Fumari is blonde leaf: washed Virginia tobacco that smokes light and smooth, with less nicotine. Tangiers is dark leaf, with a heavier taste, a stronger buzz and a need for more heat. Many people smoke both: Fumari for easy sweet bowls, Tangiers when they want strength. If you want to try Tangiers, start with our best Tangiers flavors.
